Why in Jembrana?
Because our aim is to bring the greatest memory people need to know about history of Jembrana some years back.
Based on archaeological evidence, it can be interpreted that the emergence of communities in Jembrana since 6000 years ago. From a semiotic perspective, the origin of the name of a place or region refers to the names of fauna and flora. The emergence of the name Jembrana comes from the wilderness area (Jimbar-Wana) inhabited by the king of snakes (Naga-Raja). The mythological nature of the mention of place names has been a tradition through stories from generation to generation among the population.
Based on traditions
Based on folklore and oral traditions (folklore) that have emerged, have inspired the builders of traditional power institutions (kings and kingdoms), which was named Puri Gede Jembrana in the early seventeenth century by I Gusti Made Yasa (the ruler of Brangbang). King I who ruled in the palace (Puri) Gede Agung Jembrana is I Gusti Ngurah Jembrana. In addition to the palace, the vassals (wadwa) were also given, royal clothing equipped with heirloom items in the form of spears and tulips. Likewise, the heirloom keris which was given the name “Ki Tatas” to increase the authority of the kingdom. It was noted that there were three kings who ruled at the center of government, namely the Kraton (Puri) Agung Jembrana.
